Cheesy Bread Bites

This recipe ended up as a substitute for sumptuous Bread Upma .I had less number of bread slices in my fridge which would not be enough for making bread upma.Hence I cooked up this tasty yummy bread bites.
Can be a very good starter for any get together, kid's birthday parties or even a lunch box menu for school :)
Do try this and impress your friends or kids at the next upcoming  party.

Cheesy Bread Bites

Ingredients

5-6 bread slices
1/2 Capsicum finely chopped
1 Tomato finely chopped
1/2 onion finely chopped
1/2 cup boiled corn
1/2 cup grated cheese (optional)
5-6 cheese singles / cheese spread
pepper powder
salt
Tomato sauce

 

Method

• Spread tomato sauce on each bread slice and arrange them on a baking tray.
• Place the cheese singles on all the bread slices.If using cheese spread,then spread it over the tomato sauce.
• Arrange the vegetables on all the bread slices.
• Place the corn over the veggies and sprinkle a little salt and pepper over it.
• If you are making this for a kid's party,generously spread some shredded cheese over the veggies,else you can skip this.
• Preheat the oven to 300 degrees and place the baking tray in and bake for around 15 mins or until the cheese has melt and bread gets roasted well.
• Stove Top Method : 
• Heat a griddle and drizzle little ghee or butter on the griddle and place these bread slices on the griddle and roast well until the cheese melts. Take care to see that the bread doesn't turn black or over roasted.

Note :

• Instead of the above filling,you can also make a spread using boiled potaoes and spread them over the layer of cheese.
• The potato filling can be made by adding salt,pepper powder,corriander leaves(chopped),1-2 green chillies(finely chopped)   to the mashed boiled potatoes and mix it well.
